Grace Fox Big Band

The Grace Fox Big Band (GFBB) is a diverse 16-piece ensemble advancing the future of women in jazz. Known for their explosive energy and tight musical chemistry, GFBB delivers original compositions with the force and cohesion of a unified voice.

Led by visionary bandleader Grace Fox, the GFBB has captivated audiences at iconic venues such as Dizzy’s Club, Birdland, and Times Square, while also inspiring young musicians through educational workshops and performances.

The band was born out of inspiration from the documentary The Girls in the Band, which chronicles the rich but often overlooked legacy of women in jazz ensembles such as the International Sweethearts of Rhythm and the DIVA Jazz Orchestra. Carrying that legacy forward, Grace Fox founded GFBB in 2021 to create space and visibility for women in today’s jazz scene.

GFBB's critically acclaimed debut album, Eleven 'O Seven, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Pandora.

“This band is all about uplifting one another both on and off the bandstand.” - Grace Fox
